Bio:

Rafael Asenjo is an Associate Professor for the Dept. of Computer Architecture Univ. Malaga since 2001, where he leads a research group working on “productivity” in the context of high performance computing. His research interests are in programming models, parallelization of irregular codes, parallel IO, parallelizing compilers and multiprocessor architectures. He collaborated on the IBM XL-UPC compiler in 2008 and has contributed to the Chapel runtime development since 2011.
